The Bertie County School Board has slated their next meeting for January 11th, 2022 at 5 pm.

Notable on the agenda is the proposal to establish a Comprehensive Alternative School, a new way to reimagine how the district handles short-term, out-of-school suspensions.

The board will discuss whether this program could increase academic performance and curb poor behavior in the most at-risk kids. This program would partner with the Bertie YMCA to provide guidance and support to children who need this support.

Attending each meeting in person is vital to obtaining the most accurate, up-to-the-minute information. Below is the content of the public agenda.
